Paris Highlights Bike Tour
See the essential sights of Paris by bike—and understand how they fit together.
Starting near Île Saint-Louis, we ride from the medieval heart of the city to the Eiffel Tower, following quiet streets, riverside cycle paths and some of Paris’s grandest avenues. Along the way, we stop at Notre-Dame, the Louvre, the Tuileries, Place de la Concorde, the Grand and Petit Palais, Pont Alexandre III, Les Invalides and the Musée d’Orsay.
This is not a race between photo stops or a list of dates delivered from memory. We use the landmarks to tell the larger story of Paris: how a small settlement on the Seine became a royal capital, how revolution repeatedly tore the city apart, and how each new regime rebuilt Paris in its own image.
You’ll hear about kings, emperors, revolutions, world fairs, urban planning and the people who actually lived here. We also look at the city as it exists today—from the transformation of the Seine riverbanks to the growing network of cycle routes changing how Parisians move around.
The pace is relaxed, the groups are small and there is time to ask questions, take photographs and enjoy the ride. Our guides know Paris deeply, but the tour is conversational rather than scripted. No two groups ask exactly the same questions, so no two tours are quite identical.
The route includes:
• Île Saint-Louis and the historic centre of Paris • Notre-Dame Cathedral • The Louvre and Tuileries Garden • Place de la Concorde • The Grand Palais and Petit Palais • Pont Alexandre III • The Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars • École Militaire and Les Invalides • The Seine riverbanks and Musée d’Orsay
Suitable for confident riders aged 14 and over. You do not need to be especially fit, but you should be comfortable riding a bicycle in a city and following your guide as part of a group.
